Coffee Pistachio Semi-Freddo Drink

Don’t feel belittled by the name; everything yummy needs to sound fancy, no? Besides it’s easier than you think and we reckon a little ice cream could do the trick in the morning. Sorry if you’re on the health-conscious side, though.

Serves:4 people
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Chilling time: 15 minutes
Degree of difficulty: Easy

A blender is required for the preparation of this recipe
.

Ingredients:• 250 g / 9 oz of pistachio ice cream, taken out of the freezer 15 minutes beforehand
• 60 g / 2 oz of shelled toasted pistachios
• 150 g / 5oz of vanilla flavoured whipped cream
• 4 capsules of Ristretto (to produce 100 ml / 3.5 oz of ristretto coffee)
Method: • Blend half the toasted pistachios to a powder.
• In a large bowl fold them carefully into the softened ice cream with half the whipped cream.
• Add 1 tablespoon ofwhipped cream into 4 individual glasses, then top with the ice cream mixture.
• Just before serving, pour a strong espresso (25 ml / 1 oz) over each dish.
Decorate with the remaining whipped cream and toasted whole or powdered pistachios.

Iced Coffee with Orange Juice

This is one is for adventure perhaps!

Preparation time: 5 minutes
Ingredients for 1 Nespresso large recipe glass (350 ml / 12 fl oz):• 15 ml / 1 tablespoon of cold orange juice
• 2 capsules of Cosi (to produce 80 ml / 3.75 fl oz of Nespresso lungo coffee)
• 1 teaspoon / 3 g of white caster sugar
•5 ice cubes
Method: • Prepare your coffee in a large cup, add the caster sugar and stir well.
• Pour the sugared coffee into a shaker along with the orange juice and 3 crushed ice cubes.
• Shake the mixture vigorously.
• Serve in a chilled, Nespresso large recipe glass with 2 more ice cubes.

Onirio Espresso Macchiato

The Onirio is the first of only two limited edition Grand Cru coffees for 2011! Mm, limited edition.. sounds good?

Preparation time: 10 minutes
Chilling time: 15 minutes
Degree of difficulty: Easy
Ingredients: 1 Onirio Limited Edition capsule (40ml)
• 150 ml semi‐skimmed milk
• 1 black jasmine tea bag
• 1 dessert spoon acacia honey
• Orange zest (approx the skin of 1/4 of orange)
Method:
• In a saucepan, heat the milk with the tea bag, the honey and the orange zest.
• Take the saucepan off the heat just before the boiling point and set aside for about 2 minutes to let the tea infuse.
• Remove the tea bag and the orange zest.
• Froth the flavoured milk using the Aeroccino or the steam function of your machine.
• Pour Onirio (40ml) into an Espresso cup.
• Top the coffee with a tablespoon of frothed flavoured milk and taste. minilogo
