The Bulgari Resort is located in one of the most exclusive destinations in the world, a veritable emblem of the tropical exoticism of the Orient, combining the breathtaking beauty of unspoiled nature with a sophisticated contemporary design born from the encounter between traditional Balinese forms and high Italian style. The quality of the services along with the views of the Indian Ocean offered by its magnificent position 150 meters over the sea are the perfect introduction to the second luxury property from Bulgari Hotels & Resorts.

The Design

Bulgari Bali ResortThe Bulgari Resort stands atop a cliff like a medieval fortress town, walled and secret. Each villa has its own garden, pool and an outdoor living room of 300 square meters that looks out over the alang alang rooftops (coconut thatch) and the Indian Ocean. The floor plan makes a sharp distinction between the quiet and reserved private area and the glamorously festive social area. The construction faithfully respects local techniques, and each stone has been cut and chiseled on site by hand.

The Beach

Bulgari BeachThe white sand beach between the cliff and the water’s edge is inaccessible to the general public from both ground and sea, as it is protected by a coral reef. The only access is from the Resort’s inclined elevator that takes guests to and from the beach as well as to the Beach Club. The absence of man-made development is often taken as an invitation by schools of dolphins to frolic in this stretch of sea, visible to guests from the ocean view villas and from the beach.

The Community

Bulgari DesignThe Bulgari Resort in Bali has been built to fully respect the environment and has been furnished using traditional local stones and woods. The local economy and community benefit from the presence of the resort in many ways. Local craftsmen, technicians, workers have been used in the building up of the resort. A local producer has designed the staff uniforms exclusively for Bulgari. Currently the hotel employs mostly Balinese people and created an apprentice program for the surrounding villages. Balinese organic farms supply the Resort restaurants. The Resort is also active in a community commitment program that supports Balinese people by providing them scholarship. minilogo
