In the heart of the Czech Republic’s capital, the Augustine, Prague is located in a former monastery that dates back to the 13th century. The hotel is located near embassies and major city attractions but is far removed from the noise and hectic movement of urban activity. Delicately designed by Olga Polizzi in Czech cubism, its elegant facilities boast a hammam which is not commonly found in Prague’s hotels. A hang out zone here is their bar which serves the popular local St. Thomas Beer. More than a hundred individually furnished rooms and suites provide stunning views of the adjacent church, Prague Castle and rest of the city. Some of its most beautiful suites have been converted from what were the monks’ living quarters in the original monastery.
