Dubai-based airline Emirates has announced that it will be doubling its passenger services to Singapore (Changi Airport) from seven weekly flights, to 14 weekly flights, starting from 23 June, 2022.

The move will greatly open up South East Asia to travellers from Middle East for the summer season. With the addition of these new flights, Emirates will be able to offer its customers even more choice and flexibility when planning their trips.

This is good news for Singapore as well, as the city-state continues to be a popular destination for both business and leisure travellers and an important gateway to South East Asia.

In recent years, the Middle East has undergone a transformation, with an expanding hospitality and leisure industry that is beginning to rival that of other global hotspots. As a result, more and more South East Asian travellers will be heading to Dubai, Qatar and Saudi Arabia to enjoy their holidays this year.

Emirates currently deploys the Boeing 777 for this popular route. Dubai is a key hub for travellers, with its convenient location and excellent infrastructure making it an ideal gateway to Africa, the Indian subcontinent, and Europe.

Emirates to restart flights to Bali

Emirates has announced that it will restart its flights to Bali (Ngurah Rai International Airport) from 1st May, 2022. The Dubai-based airline will operate five weekly flights to Bali from Dubai, utilising a two-class Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. From 1st July, 2022, the airline will scale up its operations to Bali with a daily service.

This is great news for travellers from the Middle East who are looking to visit Bali, as the island is a popular destination for tourists from this region. With the restart of Emirates’ flights to Bali, travellers will have more direct, non-stop options when it comes to choosing an airline to take them to this amazing destination. Currently, travellers from Middle East to Bali had to rely on a one-stop at either Singapore or Jakarta.

The restart of Emirates’ flights to Bali comes as the island is starting to reopen for tourism. The Indonesian government has greatly eased travel restrictions to Bali, and the visa on arrival policy has been reintroduced for travellers from certain countries. This means that more people will be able to enjoy all that Bali has to offer with zero time spent in quarantine. ◼
