Tragic Southwest Accident in New York’s LaGuardia Airport

Southwest Airline’s aircraft from Nashville to La Guardia Airport in New York tragically skidded off the runway.

Southwest Airline’s aircraft from Nashville to La Guardia Airport in New York tragically skidded off the runway. As a result, the aircraft’s nose gear collapse during landing. As of now 10 were injured and 6 were taken to hospital due to the rough landing. The rough landing caused delays throughout the airport due to a necessary shutdown of the runway. The entire airport then proceeded to be shut down completely for an hour Monday night. Over 180 flights were cancelled on Tuesday due to the Southwest accident according to FlightStats tracking service. National Transportation Safety Board Spokeswoman, Kelly Nantel announced that a comprehensive investigation was being launched “due to the substantial damage of the aircraft.”
