Best Places To Watch Dubai’s New Year Fireworks

Fireworks and celebrations of any kind in Dubai are always grand. This year end, the festive spirit of Dubai continues with a whole range of fireworks and events to keep the party going into 2022.

As the clock strikes midnight on 31st December, the skyline of Dubai will be illuminated with a multitude of colours. Indulge in the year end celebrations with elegant dinners and music to keep the party going all night long – and there will be Robbie Williams performing as well. Here are a list of places for the best seats in town for the night to remember. Bye-Bye 2021. Hello 2022.

Burj Khalifa

Downtown Dubai, home to Burj Khalifa and the dancing Dubai Fountain, will play host to a dazzling Eve of Wonders’ theme celebrations by Emaar Group. This extravagant display of fireworks choreographed to laser & light show is set to redefine New Year’s celebrations not just for the residents but to a global audience. A brand new laser feature will be debut at the fountains that will sync up with the tower’s light performance.

Some of the best places to take in the celebrations in Downtown Dubai – in and around Burj Khalifa – include the Cabanas at Dubai Mall, amongst the many restaurants in Downtown Dubai, including Souk Al Bahar or Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard for the closest, most unobstructed view of the tower.

Atlantis, The Palm

When at Atlantis, The Palm, consider your majestic entrance into the New Year, complete! Global Village

The famous location of Global Village is popular amongst the tourists and the locals alike. The lively place is abuzz with entertainments of all sorts and don’t be taken aback if you come across a large crowd showing up only to witness the unique and musical fireworks that broke numerous records. The fun here isn’t limited just to the fireworks.

This year, Global Village will synchronise its fireworks with other countries and host eight firework sessions in one night. The first fireworks session starts at 5pm, followed by 8pm, 9pm, 10pm, 10.30pm, 11pm, midnight and 1am. The celebrations are geared towards all age groups and the entertainment is family centric. For those who somehow miss the midnight Dubai celebrations and fireworks can head down to the Russian Pavilion and catch the first fireworks of 2022 at 1am!

Burj Al Arab

The fireworks at Burj Al Arab, an international landmark, are the locals’ favourite. Do make sure you reach this luxury hotel before it gets too late and the traffic takes over. The splendid show here has broken records for displaying the longest fireworks. View the colourful display from the hotel’s lounges, restaurants or from any of the suites. Get a 360 degree experience from their cabanas by the terrace, along the edge of the infinity pool.

Michelin-starred chefs keep everyone’s taste buds on a high note with gourmet dinner during the gala. Performances by singer Artur Pirozhkov, legendary kings of flamenco The Gipsy Chico Castillo, The Spirit of Earth, Wind & Fire featuring Sheldon Reynolds and Grammy award winner and multiplatinum producer DJ Imanbek keep the party pumping well past midnight. A few other sites that also make it possible for you to revel the New Year in the most celebratory way are Dubai Festival City, Ain Dubai at Bluewaters Island wherein you can book a cabin or charter a yacht and sail right under the impressive fireworks.
