Chinese New Year Celebrations on World Dream, Singapore
From January 27 to February 18, voyage on board World Dream will enjoy a bountiful Lunar New Year with family and friends. The traditional dragon dance and the God of Fortune’s appearance will be live during 10-16 February 2021. For the February 17 departure, guests can indulge in Feng Shui forecasts by an esteemed Feng Shui master. Guests can also learn to create the age-old handicrafts such as Chinese knots and lanterns in dedicated workshops.
Being at sea does not mean one misses out on mouthwatering delicacies during the festive period. A complimentary banquet will be served aboard World Dream on Lunar New Year’s Eve with a symbolically auspicious menu of Yusheng for prosperity, soup with fish and abalone for double happiness, Fa Cai with pork knuckle for wealth, steamed whole fish for abundance, and sweet glutinous balls that symbolize family reunion.
The art of traditional Chinese Opera is brought to life by Yimo, a renowned stage performer who excels in the mastery of Dan, the portrayal of leading female roles. Guests can also experience the fun of the Japanese Lunar New Year and try their luck with the Daruma Otoshi Challenge to knock out game pieces without toppling the Daruma doll, a symbol of perseverance and good luck. Guests can also paint their very own miniature Daruma dolls as keepsakes.
Bookings before January 31 (for departures until March 28) will enjoy the exclusive offer of a complimentary upgrade to a balcony stateroom, starting from SGD$99 per person based on twin-sharing occupancy with applicable terms and conditions.
