Located just outside Mont-Tremblant, this park offers visitors an incomparable view of Lake Tremblant and the Laurentian Mountains. With over 60 km2 (24 sq mi) of nature at your fingertips, it’s no wonder that this provincial park is one of Québec’s most popular destinations year-round.
1. Hiking one of Mount Morissette’s many trails
If you’re looking to get out and enjoy all that nature has to offer, there are plenty of activities for the whole family. For those who want a bit more adventure, try hiking one of Mount Morissette’s many trails.
There are over 20km (12.43 mi) worth of paths winding through maple forests, offering visitors spectacular views of the park and plenty of chances to spot wildlife.
You might even get to enjoy the changing colours of Mount Morissette’s trees in Autumn! Fall is an excellent time of year to visit Mount Morissette as there foliage changes from green to vibrant colours.

Several well-marked paths run throughout the park, making it much easier to choose a trail based on your experience level and desired difficulty. 2. Visit Mount Morissette Regional Park Seven Waterfalls
The Park’s seven waterfalls are also a must-see during your visit! Mount Morissette is home to Sainte-Marguerite, Bellerive, des Écureuils (Squirrel), de la Diable (the Devil), de l’Église (the Church) and Mount Tremblant waterfalls. These beautiful falls are located along trails that run through Mount Morissette’s forest and waterways, making Mount Morissette a great place to visit in Autumn.
To visit Mount Morissette’s waterfalls, park your car in the lot to access a section of trails that run through Mount Morissette’s forest. The falls are located along these trails and running into them is as simple as following the signs pointing towards Mount Tremblant.

3. Visit the many lakes at Mount Morissette Regional Park
If you’re looking for something a bit more serene, kick back and relax by one of the many lakes within this beautiful region.
If you’re looking for something fun to do with the family in this beautiful region, Blue Sea Lake is the perfect place! This recreational park offers visitors everything from horseback riding and canoeing to mini-golf and paddle boats. With over 25 km (15.53 mi) of trails, visitors can enjoy everything from nature hikes to runs on the beach. If you’re looking for something more active, there are also plenty of sports fields and courts within Blue Sea Lake.
4. Observe wildlife at Mount Morissette Regional Park
Fall is a great time to see the park’s abundant wildlife as most animals are no longer breeding or caring for their young. With that said, it’s important not to disturb any wildlife you might come across and to respect Mount Morissette’s natural habitats.
The park is home to a variety of wildlife, including black bears and white-tailed deer! These animals might be difficult to spot during your visit but you can always stop by the Visitor Centre where staff will be able to point you in the right direction.
All mammals within Mount Morissette’s forest are wild and visitors should never attempt to feed or approach them.
If you’re looking for a great way to observe Mount Morissette’s wildlife without disturbing it, head out on one of the park’s many trails! These pathways wind through Mount Morissette’s forests and offer opportunities for spotting various species in their natural habitats.
5. Explore the charming towns & villages surrounding Mount Morissette
Once you’ve had enough time forest bathing in nature, take some time to explore the towns surrounding Mount Morissette. The charming town of Saint-Jovite is only a 15-minute drive away and offers visitors everything from boutiques to restaurants. If you’re looking for something more rustic, try heading over to Mont Tremblant Village; the perfect place to browse quaint shops, sample local maple products (and of course, some delicious maple syrup pie!) or enjoy a gourmet meal.
6. Get a bird’s eye view of the region for the observation tower
The observation tower at Mount Morissette allows visitors to see the region from a new perspective. To make your way up, take one of Mount Morissette’s trails and walk until you reach the wooden staircase where it will lead you to the top. Once there, enjoy 360-degree views of Mount Tremblant, Mount Blue Sea, Mount Carelton and much more.
Places to stay near Mount Morissette Regional Park
Cottages are available for rent in the region, based on budget and location. Auberge Du Draveur and Centre Chateau Lidge, both 3-star properties, are also available within the area. When at Blue Sea, some of the places to eat include the Resto Chez Océane and Domaine du Cerf.
