Modern Greece is a Land Mass of 6,000 islands, only 227 of which are inhabited. These inhabited Islands are where the flora and fauna as well as the people are truly and vastly different, yet the Grecian culture is surprisingly strong and united. Get off the beaten path to the usual Greek cities such as Athens, and explore Greece’s many islands, clustered into eight groups: The North-eastern Aegean islands, The Sporades, Evia, Islands of Argosaronic, The Cyclades, The Dodecanese, Crete and The Ionian Islands. The Santorini island is a romantic place to wed, with the lapping pristine waters of the undersea volcanic Caldera and the gorgeous sunset as the backdrop creating the perfect wedding picture. If shopping is your sin, then the glamorous Matoyánni Street with its brand name shops, charming cafes and stylish restaurants will be up your alley. If you like museums, you will be spoiled for choice – the Archaeological Museum with finds of the Temple of Artemis and the ancient city of Corfu will take you back to ancient times.
