The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection is making waves once again with the launch of its second ultra-luxury superyacht, Ilma. With its name inspired by the Maltese word for “water,” Ilma is designed to redefine the yachting experience, offering an intimate and luxurious atmosphere for those seeking exclusivity at sea.
Measuring an impressive 790 feet and accommodating up to 448 guests, the yacht offers unparalleled service, onboard dining curated by Michelin-starred chefs, and the highest levels of comfort.
Ilma – an ultra-luxury travel experience at sea
Ilma offers 224 expansive suites, each with a private ocean-view terrace for stunning, uninterrupted sea vistas. Drawing inspiration from Maltese mythology and native fauna, the yacht’s design blends neutral and bold tones for a refined aesthetic. Collaborations with AD Associates and Aivan have resulted in a sleek exterior and polished interiors, showcasing expert craftsmanship throughout.
Dining onboard Ilma would be its main highlight, with five world-class dining venues, two of which are led by Michelin-starred chefs Fabio Trabocchi and Michael Mina. Seta su Ilma, Trabocchi’s Italian fine-dining restaurant, offers a modern interpretation of Italian cuisine, focusing on seasonal tasting menus paired with Italian wines.

The Beach House, conceptualized by Mina, brings the bold flavours of Pan-Latin cuisine, featuring dishes inspired by the vibrant culinary traditions of South and Central America.
Other notable dining venues include Memorī, offering a modern take on Pan-Asian cuisine in a stylish, sleek setting, and Mistral, located by the main pool and serving Mediterranean fare. Tides complete the dining experience with a rotating seasonal menu inspired by diverse regional flavours. Indulge in private dining at Dining Privée for special events or celebrations.
The Living Room offers coffee and pastries in the morning, transforming into a chic cocktail bar with live music in the evening. In-suite dining is available all day with dishes from the ship’s restaurants.

It’s hard to imagine a more indulgent experience than enjoying an outdoor spa treatment while on an ultra-luxury superyacht like Ilma—a once-in-a-lifetime escape that elevates relaxation at sea.
Beyond the Michelin-starred dining and opulent suites, Ilma offers the ultimate wellness experience with The Ritz-Carlton Spa, featuring treatments from prestigious brands like ESPA and 111SKIN. The spa boasts 11 rooms, five offering outdoor treatment options, allowing guests to unwind while soaking in the stunning ocean views.
For fitness enthusiasts, Ilma alos provides three dedicated spaces—the Movement Studio, Cycle Studio, and Fitness Studio—each designed to cater to a wied range of wellness and fitness activities, ensuring that guests can stay active and rejuvenated throughout their journey.
Itineraries available at Ilma for 2024-25
Ilma’s inaugural season circuits the Mediterranean, with stops at iconic destinations like Santorini, Porto Cervo, and Valletta. After its Mediterranean journey, the yacht will head to the Caribbean, visitng luxurious destinations such as Virgin Gorda, Gustavia, and St. John. As summer 2025 approaches, Ilma will sail the North and Baltic Seas, making stops in Amsterdam, Stockholm, and Reykjavik. The Ilma can also be chartered for private celebrations at sea.
Following the success of its first yacht, Evrima, launched in 2022, the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection is expanding its fleet with Ilma and another yacht, Luminara, set to debut in 2025. While competitors like Scenic Eclipse and Silver Endeavour provide luxury expeditions, Ilma sets itself apart, emphasising ultra-luxury and exceptional onboard experiences. ◼
