It never ceases to amaze me how much is on offer in the Capital. My advice for London would be split it up into sections and walk as much of it on foot as you can. Let the streets take you on a magical shopping trip – that way you will see so much more and will be lead to places you would never expect to find. Different areas of the city represent different things stylistically. Mayfair and Knightsbridge – luxury. Notting Hill especially Portobello and Golborne Road – vintage. Chelsea – boutiques and a great high street. East End – trendy and edgy.

Harvey Nichols Knightsbridge

Harvey Nichols Knightsbridge

Harvey Nichols

This is one of my go to stores in London’s Knightsbridge. It is a perfect store to navigate because it’s compact, you can check out every floor and not too overwhelmingly big. If you are into the latest beauty products and makeup, check out the all singing all dancing new beauty hall which opened late in 2016 complete with nail bars and a blow dry bar. Harvey Nick’s menswear department is categorically the best in London, it has clothes and accessories to suit every style and taste. If you visit on a Saturday there’s a DJ playing downstairs and you will be sure to bump into some famous footballers flexing their Amex cards. Take advantage of the team in personal shopping and book in when you go, it is really an excellent service. Peruse the shop floor then get everything you want to try sent to your dedicated changing room where there is flattering lighting, champagne on tap and a personal store Stylist to assist you. What’s not to love?! 109-125 Knightsbridge, Belgravia, London SW1X 7RJ

Blue Bird

I love this store nestled in the heart of Chelsea. It’s so cool and kind of New Yorky in vibe like a boutique in the East Village. It stocks men and womenswear, quirky gifts and novelty beauty products. It’s very ‘curated’ in a trendy kind of way. Lots of new designer brands sit nestled next to the bigger names such as Self Portrait and Roksanda. It’s one of those stores you wander into and want to adopt the whole look immediately. Look out for the rising star Rixo, the brand to be seen in this season, it’s stocked here. The Bluebird complex also has a grocery, beauty salon, a really happening restaurant and bar on site where you might spy one of The Made in Chelsea cast sipping on a cocktail or two. 350 King’s Rd, Chelsea, London SW3 5UU

The FaceGym

Without a doubt one of the coolest concepts to arrive in London in the last year. A team of therapists are on hand to massage, stroke and manipulate the 40 muscles in your face tightening and brightening your skin. After experiencing your non-invasive facial I promise you will leave The FaceGym glowing with radiance and looking years younger. You sit and have your treatment in barber shop style chairs. There is also an apothecary on site using natural ingredients, they will create a completely bespoke range to your skincare needs. 352 Kings Road, London SW3 5EW

The Cross

Tucked away in Notting Hill this bustling boutique is my all time favourite. It’s filled to the rafters with glitter, sparkles, bohemian prints, trinkets from travels, luxurious rainbow colour cashmere, soft silks, vibrant prints and wonderful jewellery. It’s quintessentially Notting Hill, it defines the postcode W11. Sam, the owner has an amazing eye and really this treasure chest of delectables is a testament to her buying skills, with clothes, bags and trinkets that you won’t find anywhere else in London. 141 Portland Rd, Holland Park, London W11 4LR

Robinson Pelham

This fine jewellery shop in South Kensington is a firm favourite with the Royals. Robinson Pelham has made jewellery for the Duchess of Cambridge and most recently the engagement ring for Kate’s sister, Pippa Middleton who is marrying financier James Mathews later this year. Robinson Pelham favour brightly coloured stones set in a modern but wearable setting, statement pieces that can be worn from day to evening 365 days a year. Modern and classy without being ostentatious is their look. The shop has some amazing ready to wear pieces with an excellent price point. Check out the multicoloured hoop earrings, they’re my favourite. They also offer a bespoke service where Vanessa Chilton, one of the trio of directors is on hand to design, draw and create with you a magical piece unique to you that will make all your jewellery dreams come true. 39 Elystan St, Chelsea, London SW3 3NT

Victoria Beckham Dover Street

In the heart of Mayfair and a stone’s throw from Bond Street, a trip to London would not be complete without a visit to Victoria Beckham’s flagship store on Dover Street. It’s a masterpiece in retail design. Vast and sprawling over three floors, it holds all her collections. This minimalist store sees her clothes hung like pieces of art next to Victoria’s own personal collection of paintings including Damian Hurst’s work. Diptyque fig candles burning (her favourite) and huge amethyst crystals shipped from her home in Los Angeles placed around the store giving the customer an insight into her personal style. Everything about this store is testament to Victoria’s unique zeitgeist style and her talent as a first class designer. 4th, 36 Dover St, London W1S 4NH

Sweaty Betty

The UK is a nation obsessed with healthy living. The popularity of wellness and exercise has become a huge phenomenon and with this comes a desire to look fashionable and cool on a yoga mat, peddling at top speed in a spinning class or pounding it in the gym. Work out wear doesn’t just stay in the gym or studio these days, more and more women can be seen looking gym ready throughout the day in leggings and trainers going about their day. It has most definitely become ‘a look’ and one that Sweaty Betty the high street sportswear retailer has got just right. Their leggings are the best an excellent fit, they hold you in all the right places and come in a large range of colour and patterns. Their style is relaxed yet functional. 21 Beak St, Carnaby, London W1F 9RR

Melissa Odabash

A shop dedicated to the chicest beachwear and swimwear. Melissa’s designs are the firm favourite with celebrities across the globe. Her swimwear is flattering with a wide selection of different shapes available to suit different body types. Her beachwear range is equally as luxurious favouring floaty cotton kaftans and lace jumpsuits in different feminine colours. It is like one stop holiday shop. You feel like you are on vacation as soon as you step into the store. 48B Ledbury Rd, Notting Hill, London W11 2AJ

Trilogy – The Duke Of York Square

The Mecca for jeans. It’s a store dedicated to getting that off-duty look just right. Trilogy stock a huge selection of different brands mainly imported from LA. Frame, J Brand and AG are just some of the labels they hold. They also have a wide selection of tops and cashmere pieces in store to go with the jeans you purchase. 31 Sloane Ave, Chelsea, London SW3 3JB

Top Shop

The best high street store in the UK and especially for young trendsetters. It has unique collections with amazing price points. Top Shop is now so on point that it’s almost thought of as a designer brand in its own right with a fraction of the price tag of a hefty designer label counterpart. With an advertising campaign featuring model of the moment, Lottie Moss, showing at London Fashion Week and stocking Beyonce’s Ivy Park exclusive collaboration its no wonder why. My top tip – mix and match Top Shop within your existing wardrobe. 214 Oxford St, Marylebone, London W1W 8LG

Louis Vuitton

One of the best-loved luxury brands in the world resides in this flagship store in Mayfair. Set over four floors, this store is majestic in size and magnitude. Soon to hit the shop floor is their new giftware range and the much anticipated Supreme collaboration it’s most definitely a good time to visit LV. Call ahead and take full advantage of the personal shopping suite which is actually a whole apartment adjacent to the store. It’s their number one store in Europe so as you can imagine it is spectacular. 17/20 New Bond St, Mayfair, London W1S 2RB

Smythson

Offering the finest in luxury leatherwear and stationary. Quintessentially British, this brand is making the functional lovable. Bright leather diaries, travel wallets and iPhone cases are all designed to make the mundaneness of life a little bit more stylish. Choose to get your luxurious leather embossed and do check out the stationary available – Devine greeting cards, invites and engraved note paper. Walking into this little boutiques is like going back in history and everything in here makes the perfect gift. I never leave home without my Smythson bright yellow diary in the colour of the season. 40 New Bond St, Mayfair, London W1S 2DE

Tom Ford

Excellent for menswear and if you are looking for an off the peg suit or indeed a tailored version this is the designer to visit. Tom Ford have a team of tailors on hand and an extensive list of materials and silks to make up your suit. There is a vast choice and in my experience, Tom Ford suits have the best cut I have ever seen on any man. New York elegance is brought to London with this store, blink and you could imagine your in Madison Avenue. Ladies wear is also on the same floor as the men’s so a great option for a couples shopping experience. 201-202 Sloane St, Belgravia, London SW1X 9QX

Fenwick

This is like an old fashioned cutesy department store and it is a wonderful shopping experience. Fenwick favour smaller brands and labels that only have a presence online means that you can pick up some unique pieces on your shopping trip. The accessories department on the ground floor is well worth a visit, you’ll want to leave with everything. Good for every age group, men, women and children alike. I especially love the jewellery they stock, young designers with a great price point. 63 New Bond St, Mayfair, London W1A 1RQ

Joseph

In the middle of Brompton Cross this store is one of my personal favourites. It holds capsule collections of all the leading designers, Saint Laurent, Dior and Valentino. It also stocks Balmain and is one of the few stores in London to hold the coveted collection. And if you love Rosa de la Cruz jewellery then this is the only store to find her designs. Joseph’s own brand is in store as well and this is an absolute must for staples. If you are looking for the perfect white silk shirt, knitwear or trousers then please visit. Joseph’s black leather leggings are the best in the whole of London! 315 Brompton Rd, Chelsea, London SW3 2DY

Gucci

All hail to the relatively new creative director, Alessandro Michele who has taken Gucci to stratospheric new heights in the last two years and turned it into a rainbow spectrum of colour and silks. The fashion industry is going crazy for Gucci and its THE brand to be seen wearing at the moment so a trip to London wouldn’t be complete without a visit to this store. Marvel at the current collection and the must-have designer handbags and shoes – their part fairytale and part pop art madness, enjoy. 18 Sloane St, Knightsbridge, London SW1X 9NE
