Ras Al Khaimah will make history this year with an incredible world-record-breaking drone display. As part of its 2022 opening fireworks, Ras Al Khaimah will aim to launch over 450 drones in the sky at the same time, setting a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ record for ‘Most Remote Operated Multirotors/Drones Launching Fireworks Simultaneously.’

Ras Al Khaimah also reached a new milestone by launching firework displays, earning another title from GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ for ‘Highest Altitude Multirotor/Drone Firework Display.’ This magnificent feat sets Ras Al Khaimah apart as the place to view an impressive fireworks display on 31 Dec this year.

Ras Al Khaimah already holds several GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ for previous editions of its awe-inspiring New Year pyrotechnic display.

The New Year celebrations at Al Marjan Island

Ringing in the New Year with a bang, Ras Al Khaimah’s Al Marjan Island will be the dream destination for the young and old this New Year’s Eve. The record-breaking fireworks display will accompany a family-oriented festival, live music and a carnival-like atmosphere.


Covering a 4.7km stretch along the waterfront between Al Marjan Island and Al Hamra Village, the spectacular show will feature pyrotechnic drone performances, nano lights, colours, and shapes choreographed to electronic beats, employing over 15,000 effects and 452 firework drones.

Apart from the fireworks display, the food and carnival will be open from 2 pm to 2 am. The celebration is a feast for the senses, with sensational performances on the stage, delicious food from various food trucks and energetic crowd karaoke. The festival will come alive with UAE’s best talents, Sound of Nikhil, DJ Ash and Blues O’ Bantaloon, thrilling you with their electrifying music.
