NATURE’S THEATRE

Watch nature’s own theatre unfold above you as the most spectacular light show takes centre stage: the northern lights. The spectacular lights are also known as ‘Aurora Borealis’ and are named after the Roman goddess of the dawn, Aurora, and Boreas, the Greek name for wind from the north. For the best chances to see the northern lights head to Northern Norway or Spitsbergen between late Autumn and early Spring. You can choose a dog sledding or snow mobile tour, a photography course or a cruise to make the most of your northern lights experience in Northern Norway.

HUSKY ADVENTURE

Get close to nature on a dog sledding trip and travel at high speed across the Norwegian wilderness, pulled by a pack of eager huskies.Fancy trying your hand as a musher? Then try dog sledding. Operators in Norway offer tours of varying length and difficulty. Choose from being a passenger on a one-day trip, or steering your own pack of dogs for several days.Joining a dog sledding tour is also a great opportunity to feel the strong bond between man and dog. Here you will often get the chance to feed and look after the huskies yourself – something that will appeal to dog lovers everywhere.
