Recently-opened restaurant on Duxton Hill transforms traditional Japanese fare to something sophisticated and delectable.

RIZU, the newest restaurant on Duxton Hill, strives to present traditional Japanese fare in a modern and sophisticated way. The restaurant is helmed by Hisamizu Takahashi, who left a career in pharmaceuticals to pursue his passion for running a restaurant.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

We recommend sitting front and centre at the six-seated counter to be able to watch the sushi chefs work their magic.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/4″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”3/4″][vc_column_text]One of the signature dishes is the Ikedukuri, which is live seafood sashimi, that includes abalone, lobster and geoduck, to be shared by two persons. Don’t worry, they won’t be wriggling by the time they get to the table. Otherwise, you can try some of the freshest Nigiri sushi (ranging from 5, 7 to 10 kinds), or the mains, which consist of a 125g Wagyu A4 striploin steak and a miso-marinated grilled black cod. These can be paired with wine or sake. Finish the meal with a delightfully sweet touch with the Matcha rare cheesecake. Rizu.com.sg ◼
