The world’s largest ESPA spa opens in Qatar
The first ESPA in Qatar opens this month at Mondrian Doha, a sprawling 1,950-square metre area of relaxation and holistic care. The exquisitely designed spa by Dutch designer Marcel Wanders is the largest ESPA in the world.
It houses separate areas for men and women and offers a heat experience garden, a Swarovski crystal rain shower, and a traditional Turkish Hammam, among others. The design of the male spa is inspired by the bustling souks in the Middle East. At the centre of the area is the Heat Experience Souk where guests can relax on the heated daybeds while marveling at the “fire & water” fountain.
There is also an ice fountain and body jet showers for men. On the other side is the female spa, with customised treatments for pregnant women and nursing mothers, two manicure and pedicure stations serviced by London-based beautician Margaret Dabbs, and a hair studio – a true pampering haven.
Not to be outdone by the male spa, the female spa has a multi-level heat experience garden with Swarovski crystal rain showers and an ornate Finnish sauna. mondriandoha.com
