In Singapore, the month-long event “From Singapore with Love” is a treat for both locals and travellers, to experience a fantastic array of treats from local brands such as Awfully Chocolate, Fragrance, Kampong Asia and Anette Ice Cream.

Visitors can sample unique local snacks like salted egg yolk, durian and bakkwa (barbecued meats—usually pork or chicken) as well as purchase—as a souvenir, perhaps—Godiva’s signature treats in packaging inspired by the location.

One of the main highlights is an installation by local pastry chef Janice Wong, who has won the title of Pastry Chef of the Year at the World Gourmet Summit Awards.

Her pop-art influenced installation features a bed of durian—the ‘King of Fruits’ and a favourite among many Singaporeans—as well as two edible walls, one made out of 315 chocolate tiles and the other from more than 10kg of chocolate in the shape of the beloved local potong ice cream.
